Mandarin Speaking Officer of Operations

About the Role

This critical position at [Company Name] requires a Mandarin-speaking officer to support loan operations, financial reviews, and back-office processes. Ideal candidates will have strong credit analysis, administrative, and linguistic skills to manage borrower cases and reporting duties effectively in both English and Mandarin.


Key Responsibilities: Loan Credit Review

  • Conduct regular loan reviews to assess borrower health and compliance
  • Collect and file vital financial documentation (e.g., annual reports, covenants, ratings)
  • Monitor company credit ratings and alert for:
    • Major goodwill impairment
    • asset impairments
    • Financial ratios/deviations affecting balance sheets/Income Statements
  • Update internal ratings based on emerging data

Back Office Operations

  • Handle loan drawdowns, repayments, interest repricing, and payments
  • Process premium/discount loan amortization
  • Execute money market transactions (e.g., SWIFT messaging)
  • Generate daily/monthly/quarterly reports for stakeholders
  • Attend to incoming/outgoing SWIFT messages (verify & log daily activity)

Essential Skills & Experiences

  • Fluent in Mandarin & English (written/verbal clarity demanded)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word for financial analysis/reporting)
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills (client-facing where required)
  • Ability to work independently with discrete judgement
  • Time-management and adaptability for job rotation

Occasional Support Role Expectations

  • Willingness to participate in departmental handover meetings or cross-training
  • Attention to detail for data accuracy
