Manufacturing Engineer
Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Responsibilities
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team, reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead.
Core Duties
- Provide on-site support for manufacturing processes, including CNC, EDM, Waterjet, and automated operations
- Improve existing manufacturing processes
- Qualify new products on existing manufacturing equipment, both internally and with customers
- Develop automated manufacturing processes
Key Responsibilities
- Create, verify, and release programs for:
- CNC, EDM & Waterjet Machines
- Robot programs for automated cells
- Design and deliver tooling and fixtures for manufacturing processes
- Develop and implement new advanced manufacturing equipment and automation
- Support justification of capital funding requests
- Reduce costs and improve current manufacturing techniques
- Create supporting documentation for:
- CNC, EDM, Waterjet & Automated operations (SOPs and EMS)
- Identify and implement new manufacturing technology
- Manage program storage, data back-ups, and revision control for manufacturing equipment
- Implement and support EH&S activities

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- HNC (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline
- Five years’ minimum relevant experience within an engineering environment
- Proficient in:
- CNC Milling (Heidenhain Controls experience a plus)
- CAM (beneficial)
- CAD (Siemens NX preference)
- Good understanding of tooling and fixture design
- Experience in troubleshooting mechanical systems (pneumatics, tooling, measurement feedback systems)
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings
- Basic knowledge of automation systems
- High level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, Project software)
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Degree Pathway
Candidates with less direct experience may qualify if holding:
- A degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (in lieu of requisite years of experience)
- (Note: A degree in Mechanical Engineering considered particularly advantageous.)
Advantageous Experience
- CMM Programming (preference for Renishaw Modus experience)
- Robot programming experience (preference for Yaskawa or Fanuc)
