Located in Titchfield, Hampshire, Eaton's Aerospace business stands as a global leader in aerospace fuel systems. We pride ourselves as a premier supplier of fully integrated fuel systems for fixed and rotary-wing aircraft. The Titchfield facility boasts extensive fuel and air system test facilities, facilitating comprehensive testing across a range of conditions with various fuel types.
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work within the Manufacturing Engineering Team. Supporting all operations areas of the Titchfield site. Providing day to day support to the production areas in achieving production schedule, product quality, product cost, and employee safety goals.
What You’ll Do
- Provide hands-on manufacturing engineering support to assembly and test operations, ensuring production targets are achieved.
- Support mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly, including sub-system integration, harnessing, and functional testing.
- Resolve technical issues on the shop floor, maintaining production flow and delivery performance.
- Generate and implement rework routings and instructions in line with delivery priorities.
- Develop and maintain work instructions, SOPs, and test procedures to ensure consistent and repeatable processes.
- Drive achievement of production KPIs including schedule adherence, cost control, and product quality.
- Provide technical support to operations, including the application of permits, concessions, and design updates.
Manufacturing Engineering
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient build of aerospace assemblies.
- Define and optimise assembly and test process flows, routings, and standard work.
- Identify and implement tooling, fixtures, and test equipment to improve efficiency and repeatability.
- Support MRB activities, including investigation and disposition of non-conforming product.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions using structured methodologies (8D, 5 Why, DMAIC).
- Define and validate permits, concessions, and SOPs to ensure compliance with engineering requirements.
- Ensure manufacturing processes meet AS9100, NADCAP, and internal standards.
- Support FAIR activities and production readiness reviews.

Cross Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Quality, Design Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve manufacturing and test issues.
- Ensure effective management of non-conforming material through MRB processes and feedback loops.
- Work with Design Engineering to resolve design-for-assembly and testability challenges.
- Support production teams in achieving schedule, cost, and quality objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
Skills
- Experience in aerospace or a similarly regulated mechanical manufacturing and electro-mechanical assembly and test environments.
- Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as:
- Assembly and integration processes
- Fuel systems
- Functional and acceptance testing
- Engineering drawings and specifications
- BOMs and manufacturing routings
- Special processes (heat treatment, surface finishing, part marking, etc.)
- Experience with automation, digital manufacturing, or Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g. AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS).
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher desirable.
Key Competencies
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and cross functional collaboration.
- Experience with root cause and corrective action methodologies (RCCA).
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems (MRP/ERP) and production processes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work in fast paced environments.
- Detail oriented with a passion for process excellence and continuous improvement.
