Manufacturing Engineer
Manufacturing Engineer (Power Distribution) – GE Aerospace
About the Role
We’re recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Power Distribution team, helping bring products from design into reliable and efficient production.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys:
- Solving problems
- Collaborating closely with operators and engineers
- Optimising ways to build high-quality hardware
You’ll support daily manufacturing operations, drive process improvements, aid in new product introductions and design changes, and ensure smooth, safe, and on-time production.

Roles and Responsibilities
As the Manufacturing Engineer, your responsibilities include:
- Overseeing and defining process controls within manufacturing operations.
- Designing and controlling production processes, including tooling and equipment.
- Validating design specifications and ensuring their shop-floor application for new products, tools, or equipment.
- Driving accountability through daily/weekly operating rhythms to meet production requirements.
- Evaluating quality control processes and proposing improvements.
- Leading design reviews and New Product Introduction (NPI) integration into existing manufacturing processes.
- Analysing and reporting on key metrics:
- Production processes
- Methods and schedules
- Downtime
- Cycle times
- Machine availability
- Waste management
- Acting as a key stakeholder in new equipment selection, ensuring alignment with process best practices and CAPEX approvals.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
- Coordinating maintenance and repair services to keep production equipment operational.
- Identifying and evaluating improvement opportunities.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college or a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to program manufacturing equipment.
- Strong ability to manage projects and challenging workloads.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities.
