The role
Provides consulting services with technical and/or industry knowledge in Utility Operational Technologies (OT) with a focus on Advance Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems, Distributed Energy Management Systems (DERMS), Demand Response Management Systems (DRMS), Electric Distribution Outage Management Systems (OMS).
Able to provide technical guidance for GE POA system, best practices and engage customer stakeholders. Lead client facing meetings. Develop high-quality business and technical deliverables related to complex client engagements and ensure client satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Build in Quality (BIQ): Identifies the need for process control before producing parts thus preventing non-conformance by error proofing or by detecting the causes of nonconformance and stopping the process before a defect occurs.
- Build in Quality covers: Creation of the Dimensional Characteristics Matrix, the creation of the PFMEA, the identification of Key Process Variables and the creation of the Control Plan.
- Typical tasks in this competency include:
- Create Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Characteristics Matrix and Control Plans.
- Apply Build in Quality tools to support process planning, technical instruction creation, error proofing and control of variables.
- Demonstrate process improvements using Build in Quality to establish advances in process stability and capability, within a plant or external supply chain.
- Demonstrate the use of manufacturing systems to support build in quality, as appropriate (e.g. RFT data systems, BCT Inspector).
- Demonstrate successful application of the full suite of Build in Quality tools on several products.
- Apply and integrate the Build in Quality tool set with other business processes such as Design for Manufacture, Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
