Job Requisition

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in supporting production by developing robust manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys problem-solving, process optimisation, and working collaboratively across production, quality, engineering, and maintenance functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and control manufacturing process documentation, including Process FMEAs, Control Plans, Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Review and improve existing manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, productivity and cost efficiency.
  • Support the introduction of new products, equipment, tooling and manufacturing processes through the company's change management procedures.
  • Ensure all production documentation, tooling, fixtures and training requirements are in place before new or revised processes are implemented.
  • Work closely with production teams to monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Analyse manufacturing data and performance metrics to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead structured problem-solving activities using recognised root cause analysis techniques.
  • Deliver Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects focused on reducing waste, improving efficiency and increasing productivity.
  • Support value stream improvement, workplace organisation and standardisation activities.
  • Determine manufacturing cycle times, labour requirements and resource planning for new and existing products.
  • Recommend, specify and assist with the design and procurement of production tooling, fixtures and process improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with maintenance teams to maximise equipment reliability and production uptime.
  • Support capital investment projects from concept through implementation.
  • Participate in cross-functional improvement teams and engineering projects.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, quality and operational excellence.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
