Manufacturing Equipment Engineer

Electronics Engineer – Multi-Disciplinary, Cleanroom Environment

Job Summary

We are looking for an Electronics Engineer with a versatile skill set, capable of working in a multi-disciplined role directly within our cleanroom environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for silicon wafer processing equipment, semiconductor packaging, and test systems.
  • Lead and participate in equipment installations, modifications, and problem-solving for underlying issues.
  • Work extensively across clean areas (gowning required) and engage with gases, chemicals, robotics, vacuum systems, electrical, and electronics.
  • Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams (internal and external engineers).
  • Manage time efficiently and take ownership of workloads.
  • Wear Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) after completing mandatory medical and training assessments.
  • Strict dress code: no makeup or smoking (4-hour rest period required) before entering the cleanroom (preference for non-smokers).

Schedule:

This is a split double shift role:

  • 06:00 – 14:00
  • 13:30 – 21:30

Responsibilities

Core Duties:

  • Respond rapidly to equipment issues, ensuring timely repairs and clear communication with production teams.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (internal/external), documenting meeting actions and issues in progress updates.
  • Conduct complex preventive maintenance, ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards.
  • Spearhead project execution, including new equipment installation, modifications, and documentation, while providing training for staff.
  • Maintain risk assessments for all equipment, manage contractors’ method statements and permits to work.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Formal education: minimum HNC in Electronics (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a multi-disciplinary electronic engineering role.

Preferred:

  • Prior cleanroom experience.
