Job Title: Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Expert

Our international client is currently searching for a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Expert to be responsible for maintaining, supporting and enhancing the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) at the manufacturing site. Working with Production, Engineering, Quality and IT teams, the role ensures system reliability, drives process improvements, supports compliance and leads future MES development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the site’s technical expert for the MES platform (e.g. PROMIS)
  • Configure, maintain and troubleshoot MES to ensure high system availability
  • Integrate MES with ERP and other manufacturing systems
  • Maintain disaster recovery processes and support system upgrades
  • Improve manufacturing processes through MES enhancements, automation and data integrity
  • Develop SOPs, documentation and best practices
  • Train users and provide ongoing technical support
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, change control and audit requirements
  • Evaluate new MES technologies and contribute to future system architecture and implementation

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Semiconductor manufacturing experience
  • Extensive MES implementation, configuration and support experience (PROMIS, Siemens Opcenter, Camstar or similar)
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and production workflows
  • Experience with scripting/automation (e.g. DCL)
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience
