Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Expert
Our international client is currently searching for an MES Expert to be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and enhancing the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) at the manufacturing site. Working closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and IT teams, this role ensures system reliability, drives process improvements, supports compliance, and leads future MES development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the site’s technical expert for the MES platform (e.g. PROMIS).
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot MES to ensure high system availability.
- Integrate MES with ERP and other manufacturing systems.
- Maintain disaster recovery processes and support system upgrades.
- Improve manufacturing processes through MES enhancements, automation, and data integrity.
- Develop SOPs, documentation, and best practices.
- Train users and provide ongoing technical support.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, change control, and audit requirements.
- Evaluate new MES technologies and contribute to future system architecture and implementation.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Semiconductor manufacturing experience.
- Extensive MES implementation, configuration, and support experience (e.g. PROMIS, Siemens Opcenter, Camstar, or similar).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and production workflows.
- Experience with scripting/automation (e.g. DCL, Python, or other relevant tools).
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
