Manufacturing Graduate

7 Steel UK – Cardiff

£30,000

Whether you've recently graduated or have a few years of experience behind you, our Manufacturing Graduate Programme will give you the opportunity to build a career in one of the UK's largest steel manufacturing organisations.

Over 2 years, you'll gain hands on experience across Production, Engineering and Process Engineering, whilst working alongside experienced professionals. By rotating through these three key disciplines, you will gain an insight into each one whilst developing a broad range of skills and experience.

During your time with us, you'll learn how to:

  • Understand the full steel production process, from raw materials through to finished products
  • Plan, prioritize, schedule, and manage mechanical activities (i.e. planned maintenance programs, shutdowns or emergency repairs) to minimize breakdowns and malfunctions
  • Analyse operational data and identify opportunities to improve performance, quality and efficiency
  • Collaborate with engineers, managers and operational teams to solve problems and drive continuous improvement
  • Develop your technical, leadership and communication skills
