Subcontract Manufacturing Manager
MERITUS are recruiting for a Subcontract Manufacturing Manager to join a leading Defence & Technology Consultancy, managing subcontract manufacturing activities across the production of advanced electronic and electromechanical systems.

We're looking for an experienced Subcontract Manufacturing Manager with a background in electronics manufacturing to manage subcontract partners, coordinate production schedules and ensure customer orders are delivered On-Time-In-Full (OTIF).
Working closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Production and Programme Management, you'll drive supplier performance, manage manufacturing capacity and ensure materials and products flow through production efficiently.

Responsibilities:
- Manage subcontract manufacturing partners and supplier performance.
- Develop manufacturing plans alongside Production and Programme teams.
- Use ERP/MRP systems to manage production demand and material availability.
- Monitor WIP, inventory and delivery performance, resolving risks proactively.
- Coordinate engineering changes with subcontract manufacturers.
- Plan subcontract manufacturing capacity to support programme delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing and supplier performance.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Experience in electronics or electromechanical manufacturing.
- Background in subcontract manufacturing, manufacturing planning or supply chain.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong supplier and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent planning, communication and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable:
- Defence, Aerospace or other regulated manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of IFS ERP.
- Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
- APICS CPIM qualification.
