Head of Production, Manufacturing Manager, Electronics (ESSENTIAL)
Location: Cambridge Area – full time on site in the office
Salary: £70,000 to £80,000 Base + Benefits + Bonus
My client, a key player in the Defence industry, is looking to hire an accomplished Head of Production/Manufacturing Manager to manage a team of 25 – 30 Production Engineers and specialists, building and enhancing Electronics products that are essential for the UK defence industry.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead and line manage a team of circa twenty five to thirty Production Engineers.
- Lead daily production activities in relation to complex Electronics products.
- Oversee all manufacturing operations.
- Oversee all purchasing and supplier coordination.
- Maintain product quality and compliance.
- Manage the implementation and rollout of an MRP/ERP system to track high manufacturing volumes.

Please note: this is a Production facility NOT a factory floor - any Clean Rooms experience would be good.

Desired Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience as a Head of Production/Manufacturing Manager, managing multi-disciplinary Production teams of between 20 and 30 staff – ESSENTIAL
- Detailed experience within the Electronics sector – ESSENTIAL
- Detailed experience with complex Electronics products, regardless of industry sector – ESSENTIAL
- Hands-on experience rolling out an MRP or ERP system end to end – ESSENTIAL
- Strong understanding of production planning, purchasing and supply chain operations
- Experience managing operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills gained in highly dynamic, Electronics focused environments
