W Talent Manufacturing are supporting a leading aerospace manufacturing business based in Nottinghamshire. This organisation specialises in the production of high-precision components and assemblies for the aerospace sector, supplying to globally recognised customers. With a strong focus on quality, compliance, and innovation, the business is experiencing continued growth and is now seeking a Manufacturing Manager to join its senior leadership team.

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Manufacturing Manager with a strong background in aerospace or precision engineering environments. This is a critical leadership role responsible for driving production performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across the shop floor.
The successful candidate will lead daily manufacturing operations, ensuring output, quality, and delivery targets are consistently achieved while maintaining the highest aerospace standards.

Key Responsibilities
The Manufacturing Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing all production activities, reporting directly to the Site Director. Responsibilities include:
- Ensure full compliance with aerospace standards, regulatory requirements (e.g. AS9100), and health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Lead and manage production teams to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly output targets
- Drive a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across all manufacturing operations
- Develop and execute production plans in line with customer demand and business objectives
- Coordinate closely with planning, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless operations
- Monitor KPIs and production metrics, taking corrective action where necessary to improve performance
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimise throughput
- Support NPI (New Product Introduction) activities and ensure smooth integration into production
- Lead, coach, and develop team members, identifying skills gaps and implementing training plans
- Ensure robust quality control processes are adhered to, working closely with quality teams to resolve non-conformances

About you
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a Production/Manufacturing or Operations Manager or similar leadership role within aerospace or precision manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of aerospace standards such as AS9100 and regulatory compliance requirements
- Demonstrable experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to drive performance and engagement
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience managing high-mix, low-volume or complex manufacturing environments is advantageous
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels of the business
- NEBOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification is desirable
