Apply your manufacturing expertise to the introduction of some of the world's most advanced RF and mmWave technologies.

Filtronic is recruiting NPI Engineers (at all levels of experience) to join our brand-new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at NetPark in Sedgefield TS21 3TG. You will lead the transition of advanced RF and microwave products from development and prototype builds into stable, scalable production.

We are particularly interested in engineers from electronics, Tier-1 automotive or other high-reliability manufacturing environments. Experience in structured product industrialisation, process discipline and high-volume production translates strongly into our advanced electronics manufacturing environment.

Filtronic offers the opportunity to apply your manufacturing expertise while developing specialist skills in RF and semiconductor technologies.

The Role

You will lead the successful introduction of new RF and microwave products into manufacturing, ensuring designs transition from development and prototype phases into stable, repeatable and cost-effective production.

Working with RF design, mechanical, test, quality and manufacturing teams, you will coordinate pilot builds, validate processes and ensure manufacturing readiness.

Technical Scope

You will work across technologies including:

  • RF and microwave module manufacturing
  • Semiconductor and RF electronics assembly
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) and industrialisation
  • Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Assembly (DFA)
  • Process validation and manufacturing readiness
  • Statistical process control (SPC) and capability analysis
  • Root cause methodologies such as 8D, DMAIC and FMEA
  • Process flows, PFMEA and Control Plans

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
