Job Description
Ultra Precision Control Systems (PCS) is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to join its fast-growing manufacturing function. This role involves assembling, integrating, and testing a wide variety of high-precision products and systems for defence, aerospace, and smart technologies markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture high-precision aerospace components from detailed engineering drawings, adhering to tight specifications
- Assemble sub-assemblies for Ultra’s technology portfolio, using controlled tooling and approved processes, including:
- Presses & drills
- Special customised tooling
- Ensure full compliance with company build documentation and quality standards
- Maintain training records in line with Ultra’s certification requirements
- Act as a Certified Stamp Holder (responsible for quality assurance in production)
- Follow drawings, manufacturing instructions, process sheets, and specifications precisely
- Work autonomously in precision assembly, with limited task delegation

Required Skills and Experience
- Familiarisation with Code of Practices (e.g., IPC-620A) (training will be provided if needed)
- Previous experience in precision assembly environments (highly advantageous)

Nationality & Security Requirements
Candidates must be able to work legally in the UK and comply with UK Government security vetting criteria. Respective security clearance equivalents may be required depending on project needs.
