Manufacturing Operator - Genset
Manufacturing Operators (Temporary → potentially Permanent) – Cummins Daventry, UK
Location: Daventry, UK
Hours: 37.5 per week Shift: Monday to Friday (6:45 AM — 2:45 PM)
Contract Type:
- Temporary (up to 24 months)
- Potential for permanent based on performance and business needs
About the Role
We are recruiting talented Manufacturing Operators to contribute to our Generator Set (Genset) Manufacturing Department at Cummins,UK.
As a Manufacturing Operator, you will be:
- Assembling and wiring dielectric and gas generator electrical components
- Referencing electrical drawings, engineering standards and accepted engineering principles across all product lines
- Operating machines and production equipment safely, meeting quality and productivity standards

Key Responsibilities
You will make an impact by:
- Operating machinery and production equipment in line with quality and productivity requirements, under limited supervision
- Ensuring quality standards meet business expectations and processes
- Following stage process documentation and recording quality checks
- Reporting workstage problems to supervision
- Liaising with supervision to support smooth operation and address bottlenecks
- Demonstrating flexibility as needed in high-volume and priority-driven scenarios
- Completing daily checks, including 5S (Workplace Organisation) and Crane operations
Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Previous assembly or factory experience is highly beneficial
- Mechanical/ Electrical background (realistic assembly & fitting knowledge)
- Ability to work independently within recognised processes
- Strong self-management to meet production targets and timelines

Education/Experience
- Equivalent to High School diploma or Certificate of Secondary Education completions
- Work experience or intermediate-level knowledge (educated, trained, or on-the-job)
