Manufacturing Operators – Genset Department (Temporary, Up to 24-Months)
About the Role
We are seeking talented Manufacturing Operators to join our team at Cummins Daventry, UK, specialising in Manufacturing for the Genset department.
This is a temporary contract lasting up to 24 months, with the potential to become permanent based on performance and business needs.
You’ll work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a shift pattern of 6.45am – 2.45pm.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Assemble and wire diesel and gas generator electrical components
- Using electrical drawings
- Following engineering standards
- Applying accepted engineering principles across products

- Operate machines and production equipment safely to meet quality and productivity requirements
- Ensure products meet set quality standards
- Follow stage process documentation, completing quality checks and documenting them accordingly
- Report any issues to supervision immediately
- Liaise with team leaders for operational efficiency and support
- Maintain flexibility based on work volume and priorities within the Genset department
- Complete all daily checks, including 5S checks and crane safety compliance
