Manufacturing Planner – Templecombe, United Kingdom
About the Role
Thales Underwater Systems are seeking a Manufacturing Planner to join their team in Templecombe, UK. You will work closely with the Master Planner to support seamless production preparation and delivery, contributing directly to the success of their advanced underwater systems.
Location & Working Hours
- Location: Templecombe, United Kingdom
- Working hours: 37 hours per week:
- Option 1: Tuesday to Friday
- Option 2: Monday to Friday
- Site-based: This role requires onsite presence due to the nature of the work.
Core Responsibilities
- Contribute to production planning activities, including:
- Defining lead times, cost elements, and procurement/production parameters
- Maintain and manage all parts supply via internal systems
- Ensure material availability on the shop floor to support ongoing production
- Support forecasting and scheduling activities
- Enable efficient, on-time manufacturing across the business

Ideal Experience & Skills
- Strong collaborative mindset, thriving in a team environment
- Experience in the following areas:
- Manufacturing Planner or Industrial Planner in a manufacturing organisation
- Supply chain in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in MRP systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Capability to build strong relationships with suppliers
Security Clearance Requirement
Due to the national security-sensitive nature of the role, applicants must be UK nationals and hold (or obtain):
- UK Security Clearance (SC) without caveats
- 3+ years continuous UK residency before eligibility (exceptions apply in limited cases)
- Validity: Must undergo, secure, and maintain clearance prior to commencement
