Manufacturing & Process Quality Engineer

Manufacturing Quality Engineer – Portsmouth Facility

At Capgemini Engineering, the world leader in engineering services, we unite a global team of engineers and architects to empower the world’s most innovative companies. From autonomous systems to life-saving technology, our teams deliver cutting-edge R&D and engineering services across all industries.

This critical role involves recovering a troubled manufacturing build area with high non-conformance rates and production delays at one of our key clients’ Portsmouth facility.

About the Role

You will lead the quality recovery of a problematic area while driving excellence, restoring technical discipline, and coaching engineering/production teams on effective quality management and recovery strategies. This is a high-impact consultancy position for those who excel in complex, high-reliability engineering environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate daily stand-ups and concession flow sessions with Capability Leads. • Manage high-meeting workload—capture actions, document decisions, and follow up with stakeholders. • Maintain and update tracker boards and records (Businessmap) to ensure clear workflow visibility. • Be accountable for the disposition and turnaround time of all non-conformance submissions, including:

  • Concessions
  • Deviation Permits
  • DARs (Design Action Requests)
  • TADs (Technical Action Directives)
  • BFAOs (Build From Approved Outsourcing) or similar Quality Notifications (QNs)

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
