Warehouse Operative – Batch Preparation (Chester)

About the Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll play a key role in maintaining operational excellence:

  • Uphold company policies and procedures, ensuring Health & Safety standards are met
  • Receiving, checking, and sampling raw materials in controlled environments
  • Picking raw materials from designated drop areas and preparing batches in designated zones
  • Preparing outbound dispatches, including pallet labelling for dispatch-ready batches
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work area
  • Processing raw material returns to stock
  • Reporting damages, non-conforming materials, or equipment issues
  • Paying strict attention to detail—verifying articles, lot numbers, bag weights, and quantities

Responsibilities

  • Comply with EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) and Quality policies
  • Work within controlled operational environments
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in materials handling

Requirements

  • Enthusiasm for food processing with a keen interest in manufacturing
  • Proficiency with IT systems
  • Experience in leading or complying with safety and quality policies
