Manufacturing Quality Lead – Derby
Our Incora Story is really taking off – we’d love you to join us for the journey! We are currently seeking an exceptional Quality professional to join us as a Manufacturing Quality Lead at our site in Derby.
As the leading supply chain solutions business in the aerospace industry, our Customers are at the heart of our business. As a Manufacturing Quality Lead, you will:
- Build effective working relationships with suppliers, acting as a point of contact for detailed technical support regarding engineering and quality matters
- Lead on root cause analysis and problem-solving investigations to resolve quality complaints in line with Incora’s process and industry standards
- Work with suppliers using zero defects principles to deliver proactive performance improvement that complies with both customer and Incora’s expectations using a range of quality tools
- Manage containment actions and Materials Review Boards (MRBs) and maintain accurate company data in our ERP system
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure supplier submissions of FAIRs (Failed Approval Item Reports), Source Changes, and deviations are accurate and align with industry specifications
About You
Ideal candidates will have:
- A degree in Engineering, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Knowledge of zero defects principles (e.g. AS13100)
- Strong expertise in proactive quality tools (e.g. 8D problem-solving) and Quality Management Systems (e.g. AS9100, ISO 9001)
- Experience leading problem resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities
- A preferably aerospace or adjacent sector manufacturing background, with commodity expertise and substantial supplier relationship experience
- A strong working knowledge of the full MS Office package
- Experience conducting supplier or internal audits (desirable but not essential)
