About the role
We are seeking a Technical Operations specialist to support the smooth running of our manufacturing operation, covering goods receiving and stores, quality/testing lab activities, and production planning coordination. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with practical manufacturing experience who is comfortable moving between the stores, the lab, and the shop floor to keep production running to plan.
You will report into the Lead - Manufacturing Operations & Delivery and play a key role in ensuring materials, testing, and planning activities are executed consistently and in line with the demands of a regulated manufacturing environment.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manage goods receiving processes, including inspection, booking-in, and stores control of incoming materials and components
- Maintain accurate stores records, stock levels, and traceability in line with manufacturing and quality requirements
- Carry out QC/testing lab activities, including inspection and release testing of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished goods
- Maintain lab records and test documentation to the standard required for medical device manufacturing
- Support production planning and scheduling, ensuring material availability aligns with the production plan
- Coordinate with Supply Chain to flag material shortages, delays, or quality issues that could affect the production schedule
- Support production readiness by ensuring materials are available, inspected, and released ahead of scheduled builds
- Escalate stores, lab, or planning issues to the Lead - Manufacturing Operations & Delivery in a timely manner
- Ensure all goods receiving, stores, and lab records are completed accurately and consistently
- Support and maintain SOPs and work instructions relating to goods receiving, stores, and lab testing processes
- Participate directly in manufacturing activities and production support when required
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams

Qualifications
- Relevant experience in a goods receiving, stores, or materials-handling role within a manufacturing environment
- Essential: hands-on experience in a QC or testing lab, including inspection and release testing
- Working understanding of production planning and scheduling processes within a manufacturing operation
- Experience maintaining accurate records and documentation in a controlled or regulated environment
- Comfortable working across stores, lab, and shop-floor activities in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Desirable
- Experience within medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with medical device manufacturing requirements (e.g. ISO 13485, GMP, or equivalent)
- Experience with stock/inventory management systems or ERP/MRP software
- Familiarity with production planning tools or SIOP processes
- Experience with incoming inspection, sampling plans, or supplier quality processes
