Manufacturing Technical Trainer (Blow Moulding)

Location: Bellshill

Contract: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week

Are you an experienced trainer or technician looking to take the next step in developing others? We’re searching for a Manufacturing Technical Trainer to support the skills, safety, and technical capability of our Blow Moulding team.

This role suits individuals who enjoy coaching, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced production environment. It’s ideal for those with:

  • Blow Moulding experience
  • Production experience
  • Technical training background

About the Role

Deliver practical and classroom training to both new and existing Blow Mould Technicians, including:

  • Safe machine operation
  • Start-up and shut-down procedures
  • Quality checks during production

Key responsibilities also include:

  • Supporting onboarding processes
  • Maintaining up-to-date training and competency records
  • Collaborating with Shift Managers to assess skill gaps and develop training plans
  • Enhancing training processes through continuous improvement initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver targeted training programs (both theoretical and practical)
  • Mentor colleagues on best practices for safety, efficiency, and quality
  • Work closely with site teams to refine skill development pathways
  • Contribute to maintaining high standards of technical capabilities and operational safety
  • Drive improvements in performance and process efficiency via training initiatives

Requirements

Essential: ✔ Experience in training or coaching a manufacturing/technical workforce ✔ Train-the-Trainer certification or equivalent qualification ✔ Strong communication skills and adaptability to work in a shop floor environment

Advantageous: ➔ Experience in blow moulding or plastics manufacturing ➔ IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) or Learning & Development (L&D) qualifications
