Manufacturing Technician - Cameras
Location: Glasgow, United Kingdom Role: Full Time Hours: Friday – Sunday (Weekend shift)

Key Responsibilities and Tasks
- Optical alignment and construction of optical subassemblies
- Complex optical bonding using a variety of optical adhesives
- Optical handling and cleaning
- Analysis of optical components (e.g., using interferometers)
- Calibration of optical subassemblies and tooling
- Collaboration in multi-disciplinary teams
About You
Essential Requirements:
- A solid understanding of general physics
- Strong practical and experimental skills
- Inquisitiveness—ability to ask critical questions, investigate results, and draw logical conclusions
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently and in teams
- Proficiency in written and oral communication—essential for collaboration with peers and engaging with both technical and non-technical customers

Desirable:
- Knowledge of optical instruments
- Experience with interferometry
- Understanding of mechanical engineering
- Hands-on experience with opto-mechanical components and their manufacture
- Practical skills in optical bonding and handling/cleaning optical components
