About the Role
We are actively seeking applications from individuals keen to take up a career within one of Europe’s leading food processing companies - Dunbia UK, part of the Dawn Group. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established team, who have a desire to produce better food naturally.
As a result of significant investment in our Boning Hall onsite, we now have a new role available for a Team Leader to be responsible for the running of the new Marel equipment. This position will report into the Boning Hall Manager.
Responsibilities
- Supervises the line to ensure standards are being met at all stages of production - investigates mistakes, communicates with Managers and other Team Leaders.
- Ensures the area is set up at the correct time, has sufficient raw material and packaging, is manned to the agreed levels, and organises operatives in the area to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
- Works in line with the production plan to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Communicates the production plan to Operatives and any changes that arise during the shift.
- Effectively delegates jobs to staff in their area, but still takes responsibility for the running of the area.
- Responsible for training colleagues, giving feedback, both positive and constructive.
- Fully understands each stage of production in their area - e.g. from top of line to end of line - can solve problems and issues.
- Makes suggestions for new ideas and improvements that can drive innovation and efficiency.
- Able to discuss the MAREL Reports with Management at the end of each shift and highlighting any issues with raw material, product quality, or staff.
- Ensures compliance with Company Rules and Procedures.
- Ensures compliance with Health & Safety Rules and Procedures.
- Maintaining good employee relations and promoting equality of opportunity.

- Have excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
- Strong focus on results, and strong team leading skills are essential.
- The ability to communicate in the medium of English is a requirement.
- Highly motivated and have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Be able to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative.
- Have a keen eye for quality and high attention to detail.
