Overview
We are excited to be recruiting a Marine & Energy Reinsurance Business Analyst for our established team based in London.
How You'll Make An Impact
Client Relationship Management
- Responsible for ensuring all pre and post placement servicing is delivered and prioritised in accordance with contract terms and client's expectations, supervising end to end process until full Evidence of Cover documentation is provided to the client.
- Know the client's business and their reinsurance programmes.
- Forge and maintain working relationships with agreed Clients and Markets and improve the overall customer relationship, delivering reliable administrative support and Client service.
- Maintaining ultimate responsibility for coordinating query resolution with the Client and reinsurers and ensuring effective management of queries per Client and reinsurer instructions.
- Adhering to standard internal processes, policies and procedures, and other external regulatory requirements, as well as Compliance with legal requirements, industry regulations, organisational policies and Gallagher Re best practice and professional codes.
- Be the point of contact to Client, Broker, Local Overseas Offices, Market and Management for assigned accounts.

Broker Support
- Review market security information on carriers, checking compliance and financial positions.
- Build / Update marketing sheets for Broking Team.
- Produce data, statistics, and information packs in support of the placement of a client's reinsurance programme.
- Liaise with Compliance / Sanctions Team on sanctions checks where touch points exist.
- Liaise with Legal Teams in respect to commercial contract reviews.
- Support creation of slips / endorsements.
- During the ‘renewal process’ of contracts, acting as a coordinator between our lawyers and clients in respect to pulling together all of the legal documentation (slips, commercial agreements etc).
- Collaborating with all divisional teams, including actuarial and broking units.
- Assisting with the tender / renewal presentations / information generation.
- Responsible for crafting Compliance Review Packs and files which can easily be audited by our Compliance team.
About You
- Experience within a similar position is essential
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritise and action high priority tasks
- High level of organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proactive and efficient personality
- Optimistic and flexible approach
- Excellent IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Confident in processing data and running reports
- Ability to account manage clients
- Experience in delivering applicable compliance standards with client service teams.
- Ideally you'll have Proportional Treaty and Non Proportional Treaty knowledge as well as Product experience.
- Knowledge of drafting wordings and endorsements.
- Eligible to work in the UK
