About the Role

Our Marine Engineers play a critical role in ensuring our vessels are kept in service through effective and efficient maintenance, so have a direct impact on our passenger’s experience!

In this role, you will work towards the highest maintenance standards by ensuring maintenance is always carried out in line with relevant procedures.

  • Undertake all planned maintenance and mechanical repairs to the vessels whilst they are being serviced as instructed by the Duty Marine Engineer or Head of Engineering.
  • Work with the Electrical Engineers to undertake any cabin repairs where time allows.
  • Work as part of a full engineering team, ensuring that all work carried out has the appropriate paperwork completed and is reported to the Duty Engineer available or during shift changeover.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone with relevant experience of working on medium diesel engines such as boats or lorries, who has a good working knowledge of planned maintenance and health and safety regulations.

  • Relevant experience of working in high-pressure environments whilst maintaining high levels of safety and maintenance practices (returning boats to service quickly and reliably).
  • Effective communicator and report writer.
  • Highly self-motivated and solutions-focused with the ability to work without supervision but also enjoy working as part of a team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
