Siemens Energy is seeking a dedicated Marine Project Quality Manager to ensure business continuity within the UK & Ireland Service Operations. This role is essential for managing the marine and field quality teams, maintaining project momentum, and upholding quality standards following an internal transfer. The Marine Project Quality Manager role is structured around three core areas: Team Leadership & Development, Project Quality & Contractual Compliance, and Supplier & Process Quality Improvement. This approach guarantees direct management of the quality teams, adherence to client and regulatory standards for marine contracts, and drives the evolution of our quality systems.

The ideal candidate will possess significant experience leading engineering or quality teams in a project-based environment. A strong background in Quality Management Systems, coupled with demonstrable experience in customer and supplier relations, is critical for success in this specialist professional position.

How you'll make a difference

  • Manage, coach, and develop the Marine Quality Team, including Quality Engineers, Supplier Quality Engineers, and Project Certification Engineers
  • Oversee the Field Quality team to ensure effective on-site quality assurance and process adherence
  • Allocate work, monitor team performance against KPIs, and manage the team’s budget and costs
  • Promote a culture of well-being and Zero Harm within the quality teams, providing necessary support to achieve business aspirations
  • Serve as the primary customer-facing representative for all quality-related matters throughout the lifecycle of marine contracts
  • Ensure full compliance with all contractual quality requirements, industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001), and regulatory specifications
  • Manage the non-conformance process, ensuring that all product and process deviations are recorded, investigated through root cause analysis, and resolved
  • Oversee the creation, review, and delivery of all project-related quality documentation to meet contractual obligations

Supplier and Process Quality Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the Marine team to develop and implement more efficient quality systems and processes
  • Conduct and manage internal audits to monitor procedural compliance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Interface with suppliers to manage performance, resolve quality issues, and ensure their adherence to Siemens Energy’s quality standards
  • Develop and monitor performance metrics to report on the effectiveness of quality processes and systems

What you bring

  • Minimum of a Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent in an Engineering-related discipline
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience leading a technical or quality-focused team
  • Demonstrable experience as a subject matter expert in Quality Management Systems within a manufacturing, service, or project-based industry
  • Proficiency in digital technologies and common business software, including IT and reporting applications
