Responsibilities
- Manufacturing of specialist A-2-Sea products (electrical and mechanical) which support the subsea internet cable industry
- Perform day to day assembly, test procedures and commissioning of A-2-Sea products
- Accurately follow assembly processes and drawings, as per A-2-Sea ISO Quality procedures
- Assembling, calibration and commission of equipment and products
- Final packaging and preparation for shipment to customers
- Maintenance, repair and upgrade of customer owned equipment
- Input to development and qualification of new products – and provide feedback to the design department for document change requirements
- Creation of commissioning reports, technical reports, and assembly instructions
- Mentor junior staff, conduct regular performance reviews, identify skills gaps, manage training initiatives, and technology transfers
Qualifications
- 3 + years’ in a similar role with supervisory experience
- Have a good knowledge of material selection, wiring methods and machining capabilities for electrical and mechanical manufacturing purposes
- Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and under instruction while prioritizing a busy workload and meeting deadlines
