Maritime Design Engineer

£50,000 - £60,000 + Hybrid Working + Flexible Hours + Training & Development + Chartership Support + Benefits

Are you a Civil or Structural Engineer with consultancy design experience looking to develop your career within a growing maritime engineering specialist?

Do you want exposure to exciting marine infrastructure projects while working alongside experienced engineers who will support your progression into senior project leadership?

On offer is the opportunity to join a modern engineering consultancy delivering innovative maritime and coastal infrastructure projects throughout the UK. You'll gain hands-on involvement across the full project lifecycle, from concept design through to implementation and completion.

In this role, you will contribute to technical design work, support project delivery, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and assist in developing practical engineering solutions for a range of marine infrastructure schemes.

This role would suit an engineer with consultancy experience who is looking to further develop their technical expertise within the maritime sector.

The Role

  • Produce technical designs, engineering calculations, and supporting documentation for maritime infrastructure projects.
  • Support projects through the full lifecycle, from concept and detailed design through to implementation and completion.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
  • Attend site visits and develop technical, commercial, and project management expertise within a growing consultancy.

The Person

  • Experience within an engineering consultancy, producing technical designs for civil, structural, maritime, coastal, or heavy infrastructure projects.
  • Experience supporting projects through design, construction, and implementation phases.
  • Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar).
  • Commutable to Portsmouth.
