About Biocomposites
Biocomposites is an international medical devices company that engineers, manufactures, and markets world-leading products for use in infection management in bone and soft tissue. Based in Keele, UK, it has global operations across Europe, USA, Argentina, Canada, China, and India. Biocomposites is a world leader in the development of innovative calcium compounds and bone cements for surgical use. Its products regenerate bone and target infection risks across a variety of specialties, including musculoskeletal infection, orthopaedics, trauma, spine, foot and ankle, podiatry, and sports injuries. Biocomposites products are now used in over one million procedures per annum and sold in more than 100 countries around the world.
The Role
The Market Access Manager will primarily be accountable for identifying and converting new accounts across the specialties whilst at the same time supporting existing accounts in order to achieve regional sales objectives.
Responsibilities
- Drive acceleration of Biocomposites value proposition for soft tissue with STIMULAN®
- Develop strategic working relationships with innovators in Soft Tissue for STIMULAN®
- Develop a strong partnership network to set out the best success for the future
- Work in close partnership with existing UK sales team to drive uptake and establish implementation plans
- Driving and supporting successful Market Access activities including any Value Proposition (Value Based Procurement) developments in collaboration with marketing
- Implementing national and regional strategies as defined by the National Sales Director UK
- To become a subject matter expert, with an excellent understanding of infection and related issues
- To identify strategic accounts and future clinical advocates
- To define and implement a plan to:
- Set up key users
- Work with Podiatry, Podiatric Surgery & Soft Tissue customers along with any associated Microbiology/Antimicrobial Pharmacist to develop clinical pathways and case studies
- Ultimately develop key clinicians and hospitals into advocates, willing to promote the technology to their peers
- To work with the marketing and clinical & technical research team to define product positioning and develop marketing materials
- Participate at UK Sales Review meetings

Required Experience
- Medical device sales experience ideally in wound care, and/or orthopaedic and soft tissue/ diabetic sales.
- Medical background also desirable
- Sales growth of new product area demonstrated in previous role
- Existing relationships with the customer base
- Clear communication skills
- Empathy & team working
- Solutions orientated
- Passionate and motivated to cooperate with clients and internal colleagues
- Engaging and enthusiastic
- Driving license - car driver (with no more than 3 penalty points)
- Hours to be flexible due to variation in operation outcomes/needs
- Willing to assist across the team/geography
