Inspired is a market leading, technology-enabled provider of energy and sustainability solutions in the UK - supporting businesses to transition to net zero carbon and manage their response to climate change.

Established in 2000, we became the first publicly quoted advisor following a successful AIM debut in 2011. We are now the UK’s number one destination for businesses seeking expert insight and advisory services to help them manage their energy costs, reduce their carbon emissions and prove their net zero carbon and ESG strategies to their investors and customers.

We are looking for a Market Analyst to join our successful Risk team. This role is a hybrid role based in Kirkham (Lancashire), with two days working from home per week.

Role and Responsibilities

This role sits at the intersection of energy market analysis and trading risk management, providing a broad and varied position within Inspired Energy’s commercial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on energy markets, supporting customer commodity positions, and delivering data-driven insight to both internal stakeholders and external clients. Working closely with the risk team, the role offers excellent exposure across the energy business for an analytical, motivated individual.

Market Reporting & Analysis

  • Produce written reviews and analysis of energy markets to inform both internal teams and external clients.
  • Highlight significant market activity, its causes, and implications for customers.
  • Identify short, medium, and long-term market risks and opportunities.
  • Produce a variety of market intelligence outputs, from written reports to presentations - tailored to different audiences.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
