Market and Business Analysis Manager – Vertiv Busbar

Driven by hyper-dense AI and HPC workloads, Vertiv seeks a Market and Business Analysis Manager to support Busbar’s finance, market, and product strategies.

Location: Burnfoot (Ireland) office or hybrid/remote within Ireland or the UK


About the Role

The Market and Business Analysis Manager will provide strategic, data-driven insights for Vertiv’s Busbar Business Unit, a key player in critical infrastructure. The role involves deep financial, market, and operational analysis to drive performance for a global product portfolio serving data centers, networks, and industries.

Key workstreams include:

  • Finance & Metrics: Track Pipeline, Orders, Sales, Profit Margins, and Costs to reveal trends
  • Growth Strategies: Translate market data into actionable roadmaps for innovation, cost savings, and revenue growth
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with Sales, Product Teams, Finance, Operations, and Customers at a global scale

The Busbar team’s success hinges on: ✔ Launching new products and managing an end-of-life transitions ✔ Ensuring portfolio alignment with evolving customer needs in critical infrastructure ✔ Emphasizing operational efficiency and quality control across engineering, production, and service

This position thrives in dynamic, results-oriented environments—embraces latest tech trends (HPC/AI-led power demands) while delivering measurable impact.


Key Responsibilities

Financial & Market Analysis

  • Dig into key data (Sales, Profit, Costs, OPEx/CapEx) to spot anomalies and inform decisions.
  • Collaborate with Finance and business leaders to diagnose deviations from targets/judgments.
  • Forecast internal costs (OPEx & CapEx) with input from engineering/engineering teams.

  • Proactively propose continuous improvement projects for structural cost/cost stabilization and efficiency/sustainability through operations, vocational training, or expected insight processes.

Stakeholder & Corporate Excellence

  • Drive deliverables with clarity, confidence, and indisputable persuasiveness.
  • Ensure ideas take foot in diverse, cross-regional contexts (with pre-programmed team-building initiatives).

Miscellaneous

  • Take ownership of any additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

Essential

  • A Bachelor’s+ degree in Finance, Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, or similar. Advanced degrees (MBA, Master’s) a bonus.
  • +3 years of familiarity with:
    • Business/financial analysis
    • FP&A, product management, or market strategy roles
  • Proven comfort in:
    • Articulating insights using quantitative findings (competitiveness, forecasting both revenue/customer landscape optimization).
  • Outstanding skills:
    • Relationship-building across functions and regions.
    • **Technological proficiency: Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Smartsheet, (and other business applications).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication to convey complex ideas succinctly.

Preferred

  • Practical hands-on experience in new product development (ideators-to-launch champions).
