Market Data Analyst

Join ING’s Market Data Analytics Team and help build the market data centre of excellence within Traded Risk Management. You’ll work across sourcing, transformations, models, proxies and analytics tools that support market risk, product control and counterparty credit risk.

The Team

The Market Data Analytics Team (MDAT) sits within Traded Risk Management (TRM), a department of approximately 60 colleagues supporting a broad range of businesses across Financial Markets and Group Treasury. MDAT is responsible for the market data used by TRM, including data supporting market risk, product control and counterparty credit risk. The team manages market data sourcing, transformation, models and proxies, and develops dashboards and data analytics tools to improve quality, insight and control across the full market data lifecycle.

Roles and Responsibilities

As a Market Data Analyst, you will help deliver high-quality market data solutions and analytics for TRM, working closely with stakeholders across Risk, Trading, Model Validation, IT and global market data teams. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining derived market data and proxy models across multiple asset classes.
  • Analysing large market data sets, processes and technology systems to identify issues, opportunities and improvements.
  • Coordinating and implementing market data requirements for market risk initiatives, regulatory change and strategic data programmes.
  • Acting as a point of contact for market data queries from stakeholders including Trading, Risk and Model Validation.
  • Collaborating with global teams across requirements, architecture, implementation, testing and release management.
  • Partnering with TRM teams to understand, prioritise and deliver market data requirements.
  • Coordinating agile delivery with IT developers and system support teams to maintain high market data quality standards for TRM.
  • Working with Model Validation to address and close market data-related findings.
  • Completing daily market data validation and reporting in line with the Market Data Replacement & Proxy Policy.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
