Market Development Engineer – Power Supply
# Market Development Engineer – Power Supply (Electronics) (m/f/d)
About the Role
You will join the DACH engineering team at Arrow, an international company with 18,800 employees that offers a market development opportunity in electronics power supply solutions. This role involves a mix of application engineering, sales support, and supplier management, with regular travel across Germany and Austria. A field-based position is also available in the UK (remote execution for DACH region support).
Key Responsibilities
Sales Funnel & Opportunity Growth
- Collaborate with field-based FAE (Field Application Engineers) and account managers to:
- Maximise power supply sales opportunities for the UK, ensuring they enter the funnel for potential closure
- Grow regional bookings, billings, profitability, and design wins
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for power supply sales growth
Technical & Engineering Solutions
- Specify and design-in customised AC/DC, DC/DC, and inverter-based power supplies
- Develop value-added solutions leveraging Arrow’s portfolio of global power supply partners and in-house engineering expertise
- Provide commercial and technical recommendations for power system fitment in end-customer applications
Supplier & Partnership Management
- Supply and supplier management to accelerate technical and commercial support for Arrow’s customers across the DACH region

Sales & Growth Execution
- Manage project pipelines from opportunities to booked contracts
- Present as a representative of Arrow’s Power Supply Group, ensuring customer trust and solution adoption
- Train and support sales teams on technical aspects and power supply applications
Customer-Centric Focus
- Engage directly with customers to discuss specific power solutions alongside their engineers
- Drive continued buy-in of Arrow’s scalable power system assets for partners international and domestic
Core Requirements
Proficiencies
✅ Fluency in English (B2/C1 equivalent) for business communication ✅ Bachelor’s/Postgraduate degree in electrical/electronics engineering or a closely related field ✅ 2+ years of industry experience in:
- Switch Mode Power Supply (SMPS) systems
- Managing power project funnels for B2B and B2C markets
- Domain knowledge of electricity standards in power solutions
Serving Candidate Aptitude
✔ Familiarity with technical sales processes (value-driven positioning) ✔ Understood data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, UK data laws) in commercial operations ✔ Proven ability in cross-functional stakeholder collaboration to deliver cohesive technical-commercial proposals
