Market Director – Education
London (Hybrid – Minimum 1–2 Days Per Week)
Up to £150,000 Base + 40% Bonus
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an ambitious, AI-native consultancy as its Market Director for the Education sector.
This is a strategic leadership role for an experienced consulting professional who combines strong commercial acumen with deep expertise and credibility across the UK Education landscape. You will be responsible for driving growth, shaping market strategy and establishing the business as a leading transformation partner within the sector.
This is not a delivery-focused leadership position. Instead, it is a role centred on business development, market ownership and long-term strategic growth.
The Opportunity
As Market Director, you will take ownership of the Education market, developing the firm's presence, building senior client relationships and winning high-value consulting engagements. Working closely with the executive leadership team, you will help shape the future direction of the business while collaborating with consulting, delivery and product teams to ensure the successful execution of client engagements.
Approximately 70% of the role will focus on business development and market growth, with the remainder dedicated to proposition development, supporting delivery quality and developing the sector capability.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the growth strategy for the Education market.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of consulting opportunities.
- Lead the pursuit and conversion of complex transformation and consulting engagements.
- Develop trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the Education sector.
- Identify emerging market opportunities and shape new consulting propositions.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences and executive forums.
- Provide strategic market insight to the executive leadership team.
- Support and mentor consultants while helping to grow the Education practice.
About You
We're looking for an experienced consulting leader with a demonstrable track record of growing markets, winning consulting business and building long-term executive relationships.
You will bring:
- Experience within a management, digital or technology consultancy.
- A strong track record of generating consulting revenue and leading business development activities.
- Credibility and an established network across the UK Education sector.
- Experience developing consulting propositions and bringing new services to market.
- A strong understanding of education policy, digital transformation and the opportunities presented by AI.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills at executive level.

Package
- Basic salary up to £150,000.
- 40% performance-related bonus.
- Hybrid working with a minimum of 1–2 days per week in the Farringdon office.
