Position Overview
This Directive role in EY.ai is a high-impact, global consulting appointment focused on guiding financial services clients through AI-driven business transformation. The ideal candidate will:
- Shape AI opportunities into commercially robust, high-value engagements
- Traspoly business transformation (not just tech) using AI as a catalyst
- Lead end-to-end pursuit and advisory, from initial client engagement to business execution.
This is a senior market-facing role—not a technical sales position. You’ll drive responsible AI adoption by redesigning processes, reimagining customer journeys, and embedding AI confidently into regulated financial services environments.
Role Objective
Develop won client engagements by delivering holistic AI transformation solutions that address: ✔ Revenue growth ✔ Cost reduction ✔ Customer satisfaction ✔ Risk reduction
Reinvent financial services, bridging business strategy and technical execution.
Your Client Impact
Lead oporerating strategic transformations in financial services domains—banking, insurance, wealth, asset management, capital markets, and payments. Key strategies include:
Sales & Opportunity Development
- Shape AI-driven transformation campaigns (“EY.ai Reimagination”) with partners across strategy, AI, data, technology, risk, regulatory, change, and delivery.
- Facilitate executive workshops to: ✚ Redesign processes, roles, experiences, and operating models ✚ Address human-AI collaboration, service reconfiguration, and transformation readiness
- Pitch impactful value cases, investment roadmaps and prioritise client AI priorities.
Responsible AI Leadership
- Champion responsible AI design, balancing strategic ambition with regulatory constraints.
- Navigate compliance pressures, including conduct risk, model risk, operational resilience, GDPR, customer duty.
- Assure solutions balance speed of delivery with responsible impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. Opportunity Shaping & Sales Leadership
- Own AI transformation pursuits from inception to client buy-in, including:
- Developing opportunity hypotheses rooted in financial services challenges, sector trends, and data-driven insights.
- Addressing client pain points (Technology-centric or Business-led?).
- Creating multi-stage win strategies, commercial narratives, and story-led executive pitches.
- Work with accounts, delivery teams, and service leaders to prioritise high-value, profitable pursuits and qualify proposals with confident commercial acumen.

2. AI-Enabled Transformation Advisory
- Help clients reimagine and reengineer work: reconceiving processes like decisions, costs, customer interactions, and colleague expertise.
- Design AI architecture for diverse models: ✔ Agent-led solutions (task orchestration, confirmation-based workflows). ✔ Supervised orchestration agents (multi-step/approval coordination). ✔ Operational agents (pregged execution in defined boundaries).
- Advise on operational challenges of AI adoption, including: ✚ Operational impacts on roles, skills, and governance. ✚ Data strategy and sourcing. ✚ Ethical/regulatory considerations in deployed solutions.
3. Client Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build trust-based relationships with C-level stakeholders via value-led storytelling.
- Operate as influential internal advisor, bridging business, tech, risk, data, and change.
- Translate AI capabilities and capabilities clearly for executives, communicating value vs. risks.
4. Internal Leadership & Team Mobilisation
- Lead cross-functional pursuits (AI, data, cloud, cyber, risk, business design, change).
- Align delivery teams with competitive feasibility ensuring proactive capability, approach, and revenue standards.
- Grow the practice through market positioning, thought leadership, team upskilling, and pipeline development.
Must-Have Experience
15+ years of Consulting Experience
Ideally from: ✅ Big Four firms, strategy/transformation, technology advisory, or financial services consulting.
Financial Services Deep Dive
- Proven success shaping complex RFPs, client-led sales, and high-value engagements.
- First-hand sector knowledge on financial services: ✚ Commercial, operational, tech, regulatory and compliance environment. ✚ Key business areas: operations, compliance, fraud, risk, customer engagement trade.
AI + Business Transformation Acumen
- Deep understanding of AI and generative AI applications: workflow automation, predictive models, decisioning, agents, scaling.
- Proven track record: ✔ Crafting value cases, investment roadmaps, operating models ✔ Leading multidisciplinary upselling, pursuits, and deal closing.
Leadership Emphasis
- Experience leading complex sales and proposal teams.
- Operational at scale, influencing C-suite and cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on pursuit process articulation: qualify scope, lock proposals, align delivery, and clinch deals.

- AI-specific roles in banking, insurance, financial crime, compliance, wealth management.
- Experience with generative AI, agentic workflows, intelligent automation, and decision intelligence.
- **Financial services architecture (workflows, governance, data) and enterprise-level cloudy AI deployment standards.
- Formal AI certification in fields such as MLOps, data governance, responsible AI.
