The Role: Leading Speedo’s EMEA Growth & Brand Strategy

You’ll shape consumer-centric assortments, optimise pricing, and drive data-driven decisions—ensuring Speedo maintains its leadership in the swim category. This role is pivotal: delivering growth, profitability, and brand equity by blending local market insights with a global mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Consumer-Right Assortments

  • Build and refine Speedo’s EMEA product portfolio by collaborating with commercial & product teams
  • Balance local relevance with global brand strategy while ensuring tailored assortments for key markets and partners
  • Leverage sell-in, sell-out, ROI, and margin data to refine selections
  • Implement less-is-more seasonal editing focused on hero products, storytelling, segmentation, and cohesive outfit-building

2. Pricing & Competitive Strategy

  • Lead market pricing benchmarks and GBB (Good/Better/Best) architecture
  • Influence consumer price perception and competitive intelligence
  • Work cross-functionally (Sales, Product, Finance) to recommend pricing strategies supporting margin, volume, and brand goals
  • Optimize pricing complexity and advocate for scalable pricing frameworks

3. Analytics & Performance Management

  • Define KPIs (e.g., ASP, margin %, adoption, sell-through) and analyze trade data
  • Deliver seasonal lessons-learned reports to inform future plans
  • Track market shifts and capitalize on competitive gaps
  • Balance short-term execution with long-term category growth

4. Forecasting & Supply Chain Execution

  • Own forecasting inputs for Speedo EMEA, partnering with Sales & Planning
  • Align commercial ambition with data, reducing overstock and aligning with market demand
  • Support cost-efficient sourcing by ensuring forecasting accuracy

5. Go-To-Market (GTM) & Sales Enablement

  • Champion the regional GTM process, delivering segmentation insights, storytelling, and line direction
  • Supply Sales with tailored tools, talking points, and content to improve conversion rates
  • Attend and support sales launches across key EMEA markets
  • Serve as single-point liaison between Sales & Product, ensuring commercial pragmatism is unified with brand vision

Requirements

Skills & Experience

✔ Proven merchandising expertise—proven track record in assortment planning, pricing, segmentation, and line architecture ✔ Advanced analytical acumen—ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and translate numbers into actionable strategy ✔ Experience influencing forecasting, demand planning, and pricing across brands/channels ✔ Strategic thinker with a keen consumer insight, competitive intellect, and retail brand sensibility ✔ Business-savvy exterior & brand empathy—balancing commercial results with brand equity
