Market Merchandiser - Speeod (Mat Cover)

Pentland Brands: Our Active & Lifestyle Legacy

We’re Pentland Brands, a global family-run business behind world-renowned brands like Speedo. Our ethos champions integrity, energy, and ambition—driving excellence in everything we do.

About the Role: Marketplace Merchandiser, Speedo

At Speedo, exceptional product delivers far more than aesthetics—it must harmonise with movement, prioritise comfort, and amplify performance. As the EMEA Marketplace Merchandiser, you become the bridge between consumer needs, brand vision, and market execution.

In this pivotal role, you’ll sculpt consumer-driven product assortments and price strategies strategically across Speedo’s EMEA markets. Our goal? To optimise growth, protect profitability, and strengthen brand equity—ensuring Speedo reaches the right customers, at the right moment, with the right values.

Critically, your work will actualise speeds’ global strategy on the ground, safeguarding and expanding its leadership in the swim category.

Core Responsibilities

1. Consumer-Right Assortments

  • Design and refine Speedo’s EMEA collections in collaboration with commercial and product teams—striking a balance between local demand and global brand alignment.
  • Craft region-specific assortments for key markets/partners to drive adoption, proactively elevating brand perception.
  • Leverage sell-in data, ROI results, and margin analytics to inform assortments.
  • Follow a "less is more" philosophy: prioritise top-performing "hero products", compelling narratives, consumer segmentation, and credible outfit frameworks.
  • Dice large datasets to prioritise successful category lines and retire underperforming items.

2. Pricing Vision

  • Own pricing strategy (with collaboration from a Pricing Analyst)—set market-benchmarked price points and the Good/Better/Best (GBB) framework.
  • Inform price perception with expert competitive intelligence and consumer behavioural insights.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Finance to propose move-making strategies that optimise margin, volume, and brand equity.
  • Streamline price lists to reduce complexity, proactively building scalable models.
  • Visualise success: analyse increasingly cost-efficient procurement and end-of-season pricing frameworks’ impact.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
