About the Role
We are seeking a Market Research Executive to join our Data Science & Insights team in our exciting fast-moving research environment. This role is ideal for a curious, commercially-minded researcher with a passion for uncovering data-driven insights and influencing decisions.
If you enjoy designing research studies, synthesising complex data, and storytelling through compelling presentable insights, we’d love to hear from you. Your analytical creativity will be instrumental in designing surveys, analysing results, and shaping strategic business decisions—with feedback on customer behaviour, competitor trends, or emerging market opportunities.
The Data Science & Insights Team acts as a trusted partner across the organisation, delivering high-quality research and evidence-based recommendations that drive success.
Hybrid-friendly: Although contractually office-based in Cambridge, the role offers the flexibility to work primarily from an **agreed UK location (with mandatory 1-2 office visits/month or ad hoc)*.
Internal title: Insights Analyst
Key Responsibilities
- Design and field:
- Craft quantitative survey scripts for customer/consumer research
- Implement tools like SmartSurvey, Q, and AI-powered data analysis tools
- Lead from concept to actionable insights in fast-paced environments
- Data analysis & reporting:
- Transform information into clear, evidence-backed stories
- Apply statistical methods to validate findings and recommend trends
- Host stakeholder presentations to evolve strategic thinking
- Stakeholder & project management:
- Work with clients/executives to solve challenges and prioritise priorities
- Mostry understand our ✨RSC’s products/services and markets
- Present research improvements across the business
- Safe, ethical, and compliant:
- Adhere to data protection best practices (compliance with UK regulations)
- Team collaboration:
- Mentor, share insights, and Assess ongoing training within your network

Requirements
Experience & skills:
- Strong expertise in either:
- Research projects (qual/quant methods: ** surveys, analyses, competency, workshops**)
- Experience within agency or client-side market research is considered a bonus
- Ability to monitor competitors and research data sources to create potential advice
- Proven track record in handling multi-round research projects while meeting deadlines
- Strong skills in:
- Advanced Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office tools
- Reporting and presenting research data
- Handling statistical software (Q & similar strongly preferred)
- Online surveys (SmartSurvey/alternative)
Personal attributes: ✔ Curiosity and critical thinking for a competitive edge ✔ Customer focus – capable of examining broad stakeholder feedback into actionable variation ✔ Telling the story with presentation clarity (effective slides or printed summaries)
