About The Joint Impact Model Foundation
The Joint Impact Model Foundation is a non-profit responsible for the credible oversight of the development of the Joint Impact Model (JIM) and its uses, as well as to manage the calendar of updates and model development.
Launched by FMO (https://www.fmo.nl/), the Netherlands’ development bank, and other international finance institutions in 2021, the foundation works towards harmonization of key indicators to build accountability and steer financing in the US$140tn finance sector.
Using input data such as revenue and power production from investment portfolios, the Joint Impact Model enables users to estimate financial flows through the economy and its resulting economic (value added), social (employment) and environmental (greenhouse gas emissions) impacts, as well as climate risk.
Your role
The Joint Impact Model requires the type of hands-on support which many start-ups generally require. You will work alongside young professionals and have many cross-institution and cross-country interactions.
The JIM Foundation is seeking a proactive and creative Marketing Intern to support our communications and outreach efforts. This role is ideal for someone passionate about development, sustainability, and impact-driven storytelling.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
