Role Overview
Play2Give is looking for a communications professional to shape how the charity tells its story and connects with supporters. You’ll guide a growing volunteer team, build our brand, and lead campaigns that raise awareness, inspire action, and strengthen our impact across the community.
What Difference Will You Make?
This role strengthens Play2Give’s ability to reach supporters, grow its profile, and communicate impact clearly and consistently. By leading a dedicated volunteer team, you’ll help build a recognisable brand, increase engagement, and ensure our fundraising and community initiatives reach the people who need to hear them. Your leadership and creativity will directly support the charity’s growth, sustainability, and ability to make a positive difference across Oxfordshire.

What Are We Looking For?
- Background or strong in marketing, communications, digital media, or content creation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lead, coordinate, and inspire volunteers.
- Confident using social media platforms and design tools (such as Canva).
- Organised, reliable, and enthusiastic about making a positive social impact.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a wider team effort.

What Will You Be Doing?

- Lead and support the volunteer Marketing and Communications Team
- Develop and deliver campaigns for events, fundraising, and mission-focused storytelling
- Manage social media, website content, newsletters, and press engagement
- Create compelling written and visual content
- Maintain consistent branding and produce templates, toolkits, and communication packs
- Support seasonal appeals and community events
- Monitor engagement and use insights to refine strategy
- Build relationships with local media, partners, and supporters
- Oversee internal systems such as SharePoint
- Mentor and coordinate the Marketing and Communications Assistant and future volunteers
