Marketing and Communications Project Officer
Marketing and Communications Project Officer – Cyber UK
Join our ambitious team at Cycling UK and help drive our progressive cycling strategy! We’re passionate about the benefits cycling brings—improving air quality, boosting health and happiness, and creating vibrant, sustainable communities. Our Marketing and Communications Project Officer will provide essential branding, marketing, and communication support across multiple initiatives.
About the Role
There are two available positions covering a wide range of projects and departments. As the-link person between projects and our External Affairs team, you’ll champion strategic opportunities and ensure cohesive deliverables across initiatives.
Your key responsibility will be bridging the gap between project teams and communications. By understanding project objectives, you’ll help teams leverage marketing and branding to achieve impact while delivering tailored support—whether planning campaigns, creating content, or coordinating messaging.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting marketing and communications strategy for a diverse portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with Cycling UK’s overarching goals.
- Collaborating closely with project leads to shape plans that incorporate brand and communications as core components.
- Acting as a liaison between external departments and project teams, fostering awareness of opportunities that strengthen our mission.
- Producing and distributing content (e.g., newsletters, reports, social media materials) to engage stakeholders across social advocacy, physical activity, and cycling infrastructure.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
