The Role
We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, solutions-focused and collaborative Marketing and Events Coordinator. This role is to support the Head of Marketing in delivering a wide range of events, operations and client engagement activities. This pivotal position combines practical coordination with strategic operational support.
The successful candidate will possess strong marketing coordination, operational excellence, and stakeholder engagement skills to ensure the smooth running of events, internal communications, and business support functions.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will work as part of a small team. This team will work closely with a group of external suppliers and also with ICC’s People and Finance functions to ensure processes are aligned and efficient.
The role is London-based, with an opportunity for flexible working twice a week.
A Summary of Key Responsibilities
Event Management
- Support the planning and delivery of corporate events, conferences, client engagements, and internal functions (e.g. away days, quarterly gatherings activities to strengthen team cohesion)
- Sourcing venues, coordinating with suppliers, and managing catering arrangements
- Providing on-the-day event support and coordination
- Managing travel logistics, including hotels, venues, and transport for key client meetings, conferences, and internal events
- Coordinating roundtables, panel discussions, webinars, and thought leadership engagements (speaker liaison, agenda coordination, participant communications, logistical support)
- Managing social activities and informal team-building opportunities
- Liaising with partner organisations to align on event objectives, logistics, and joint delivery arrangements
- Ensuring brand consistency across all events and engagements, working within established guidelines
- Supporting budget monitoring and financial administration across the events programme

Data and Market Intelligence
- Work alongside consulting teams to:
- Undertake research and produce briefs relating to public sector activities and trends
- Ensure consulting teams are informed and equipped to discuss relevant matters with clients and contacts
- Produce regular marketing packs with data to inform Senior Leadership and the Board
Internal Communications & Team Culture
- Develop and maintain internal communication channels that support a consultancy team working remotely or on client sites
- Work with consulting and enabling teams to:
- Maintain and update the Knowledge Base (timely, accessible, organised)
- Coordinate and develop internal updates, newsletters, videos, and shout-outs to:
- Celebrate ICC’s people and culture
- Keep the team informed about business updates, wins, and opportunities
- Assist with change initiatives and policy updates
Software & Tools Management
- Manage software subscriptions and team tools, including:
- Procurement, renewals, and license allocation
- User access and permissions
- Communication updates on tools and systems
- Utilisation and cost optimisation
Systems & Process Development
- Build and refine operational processes that scale with the business
- Identify and implement solutions for bottlenecks in current ways of working
- Maintain documentation for key operational procedures to support QMS and ISO certifications
About You
Essential
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Accomplished communicator (written & spoken) with strong interpersonal skills
- Confident using standard business software (Microsoft Office, SharePoint)
- Comfortable working independently with proactive escalation when needed
- Professional, discreet, and trustworthy (deals with sensitive business/employee information)

Desirable
- Experience in professional services, consulting, or client-facing roles
- Background in the public sector organisations
- Event coordination experience, from small gatherings to large-scale occasions
- Understanding of governance, ISO, and quality management processes
- Familiarity with budgets, forecasting
- Experience implementing process improvements
- Knowledge of the public sector landscape
