If you're looking for a marketing executive role where you'll genuinely have variety, this role is worth a look.
We're recruiting for a Marketing and Events Executive to join a well-established professional services firm, where you'll split your time between delivering engaging events, supporting business development activity and helping drive wider marketing initiatives.
Events are a key part of the role, so we're looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on, building relationships and seeing projects through from planning to delivery.
The Role
As Marketing and Events Executive, you'll play a key role in supporting both marketing and business development activity across the organisation. You'll be responsible for planning and delivering a range of client events, webinars and networking opportunities, while also creating proposals, presentations and marketing collateral to support business growth.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll help coordinate campaigns, manage CRM data, support PR and social media activity, assist with internal communications and ensure marketing projects are delivered to a high standard. With plenty of variety and exposure across the business, it's an opportunity to develop your marketing career in a broad, hands-on role where no two days are the same.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You
We're looking for someone who already has experience within a marketing, events or business development role and enjoys balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
To be successful, you'll ideally have:
- Experience coordinating marketing activity and events.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Confidence building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong written communication and presentation skills.
- Experience producing proposals, presentations or marketing collateral.
- Knowledge of CRM systems and digital marketing channels.
Experience supporting tenders or bid submissions would be advantageous, but it's by no means essential.
Why Apply?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established organisation where marketing plays an important role in supporting business growth. You'll enjoy a varied role with plenty of autonomy, work closely with senior stakeholders and gain exposure to everything from events and business development through to PR, communications and digital marketing.
If you're looking for a position where you can broaden your experience, take ownership of projects and make a genuine impact, we'd love to hear from you.
Location
This is a hybrid role based in Leicester. While hybrid working is available, the marketing team spends much of its time in the office, so you'll need to be comfortable with regular travel into Leicester. The role would suit candidates commuting from Loughborough, Market Harborough, Melton Mowbray, Hinckley, Coalville, Lutterworth, Nuneaton, Oakham, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Rugby and the wider Leicestershire and Warwickshire area. There will also be occasional travel to other UK offices and some evening event attendance as part of the role
