Marketing and Growth Lead

With an annual audience of hundreds of millions worldwide, the IAI is redefining how ideas are initiated and shared. Alongside its digital platform, the IAI is also responsible for the HowTheLightGetsIn festivals, the world's largest festivals of philosophy and music.
About the Role
In this role you will lead a core team of seven, ensuring the quality and vision of our marketing output, and driving the continued remarkable growth that we have had every year for the last decade.
Responsibilities
To achieve this, you will need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of:
- How to drive digital growth
- How to retain and build subscriber loyalty
- How to maximise revenue with appropriate pricing
You will want to show expertise in:
- Social media
- Website content and design
- A detailed understanding of web analytics

You will know how to use data to:
- Sharpen campaigns
- Refine messaging
- Improve performance
- Spot new opportunities for growth
The successful candidate will also be an outstanding communicator. Exceptional writing skills are essential, as is knowledge of more traditional forms of marketing including press and hard copy promotional material. It would be an advantage to have:
- Developed and launched a website and successfully driven traffic to it
- Improving and updating an existing site alongside digital marketing and social media campaigns
Above all, you should be able to point to hard, demonstrable evidence of driving growth in a previous role - whether that is revenue, traffic, conversions, subscribers, following or engagement. We want someone with the ambition, imagination and proven ability to make a real impact.
Requirements
The IAI is at the leading edge of ideas in philosophy, science, politics and the arts. As result all candidates will need to show a strong academic background and a minimum 2:1 degree from a top university. You will be excited to join an organisation that has established itself as a global leader in its field and have the flair, ability and commercial drive to play a key role in taking us forward to our next stage of growth.
