The Craft Bakers Association (CBA), founded in 1887 and formerly known as the National Association of Master Bakers, is a long-established trade association supporting independent craft bakers across the High Street. CBA provides members with essential business services, including expert employment law guidance, health and safety advice, and regular industry updates. The association also offers training for bakery owners and staff, networking opportunities. As a vital business partner, CBA is committed to helping members run their bakeries efficiently and sustainably while staying informed about sector developments.

About the role
The Craft Bakers Association is looking for to support the day-to-day administration of industry supporter, sales and marketing and membership activity across the Association.
This is a varied role that combines marketing and sales, administration, relationship support. Working closely with the Marketing and Communications and Head of Membership the postholder will help support industry supporters, working with them on their packages, leading meetings with industry follow up with their membership enquiries, renewals and schedule promotional activity linked to supporter packages
The role would suit someone who is organised, proactive and confident communicating with people, experience using social media, Mailchimp and WordPress is preferred, however, training will be provided.
Main responsibilities

Industry supporter coordination and relationship support
- Manage day-to-day contact with Industry Supporters
- Onboard new Industry Supporters with package briefs and promotional opportunities.
- Respond to supporter enquiries and ensure requests are handled promptly and professionally.
- Maintain up-to-date records of Industry supporter contacts, package benefits, renewal dates and activity.
- Support the renewal process for existing supporters by sending reminders, following up by phone or email and helping prepare renewal paperwork, arrange meetings and provide package briefs.

Supporter marketing and promotional activity
- Coordinate the delivery of supporter benefits included within supporter packages.
- Arrange and schedule supporter promotions such as:
- advertising E shots
- website listings and supporter profiles
- social media posts
- event visibility
- Uploading and updating of supporter-related content across WordPress, Mailchimp and social media platforms where required.
- Prepare and schedule supporter content, promotional copy and digital updates in line with the Association’s wider marketing activity.
- Ensure agreed supporter activity is delivered on time and accurately.
- Keep track of supporter promotions and activity so the team can demonstrate value delivered to supporters.
- Collect supporter logos, profiles, copy and promotional information where needed.

Membership administration
- Add to database leads from social media outreach campaigns.
- Support Marketing and Communications to help communicate the benefits of membership to prospective and existing members.
- Record member and prospect feedback to support future recruitment and retention activity.

Business Day and event support
- Support commercial activity linked to Business Day, including supporter, exhibitor and sponsor communications.
- Help coordinate supporter and sponsor benefits linked to Business Day and other CBA events.
- Assist with exhibitor and sponsor administration, follow-up and relationship support.
- Help ensure supporter and sponsor information is shared internally so activity is delivered smoothly.

Administration, CRM and reporting
- Maintain accurate records of Industry Supporter contacts and their renewal membership leads through social media campaigns, sponsorship opportunities and related activity.
- Support reporting on supporter renewals, sponsorship activity and campaign delivery.
- Help ensure the team have up-to-date information on supporter commitments, renewal dates and promotional activity.
- Provide general administrative support for activity as required by the CEO.
Person specification
Essential
- Experience in an administrative, customer service, sales support, events or coordination role
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence communicating by email and phone with members, supporters and other contacts
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, databases, spreadsheets and/or CRM systems
- Knowledge of using social media platforms, Mailchimp and WordPress to support marketing, communications or promotional activity
- A proactive and positive approach to work
- Ability to work well as part of a small team
- Willingness to support a range of tasks across membership, supporter and event activity
Desirable
- Experience of following up enquiries, renewals or customer/member communications
- Experience of coordinating marketing, promotional or event activity
- Interest in the bakery, food, hospitality or membership sector
