The Role

The PR & Marketing Manager will lead the development and execution of integrated marketing and public relations strategies that elevate brand awareness, strengthen patient trust, and support the organisation’s growth objectives. This role will focus on building meaningful media relationships, driving strategic campaigns, and ensuring consistent, empathetic, and clinically accurate messaging across all touchpoints. Crucially, this is a hands-on role requiring both strategic thinking and executional excellence. The successful candidate will not only lead activity but also actively create and deliver high-quality marketing assets across multiple channels.

The ideal candidate is a proactive storyteller, commercially minded marketer, and highly capable designer, confident in producing on-brand creative across digital and print formats using Adobe Creative Suite.

Your responsibility will include:

  • Management & guidance of the UK PR agency to drive brand awareness & spread positive stories around fertility in the media.
  • Managing internal comms alongside the People team, ensuring staff are engaged & updated effectively.
  • Own brand documentation & ensure it is adhered to internally & externally.
  • Keep an eye on the competitive landscape & update teams regularly on how the landscape is changing.
  • Using design tools to create leaflets, presentations & other printed assets for marketing to patients.
  • Work with our external partners to drive engagement including content sharing opportunities, event planning and execution.
  • Identify marketing, media & partnership opportunities.

The role is full time working 37.5 hours per week.

This is a hybrid opportunity, you will be required to work on site at TFP Oxford Fertility as required and a minimum of once per week.

Travel to other TFP location will be required on occasion.

The position is a fixed term contract for 12 months.

The Location

The TFP Oxford Fertility clinic was established in 1992 and is one of the UK’s longest standing and largest IVF clinics. Conveniently located in a business park situated on the outskirts of Oxford, close to junction 8a of the M40, there is ample free parking for staff and patients around the building.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Planning & Execution

  • Work with internal teams to develop and deliver campaigns supporting patient acquisition, retention, and brand awareness.
  • Manage marketing calendars and coordinate activity aligned to business priorities.
  • Lead the creation of marketing assets across digital and print, including ads, leaflets, brochures, social content, presentations, and event materials.
  • Design high-quality, on-brand creative using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop essential).
  • Ensure all outputs are visually compelling, brand-compliant, and clinically accurate.
  • Monitor PR & Brand KPIs, producing reports to evaluate performance and inform future strategy.

Public Relations

  • Lead all PR activity, acting as key contact for media, influencers, and PR agencies.
  • Proactively identify media opportunities, pitch stories, and secure positive coverage.
  • Draft press releases, media responses, and briefing documents.
  • Manage media enquiries, reputation issues, and crisis communications with professionalism and discretion.
  • Coordinate patient stories, expert interviews, and clinic-led initiatives for media use (ensuring ethical and GDPR-compliant practices).
  • Support the Sales & Marketing Director on crisis communications where required.

Event Promotion & Stakeholder Support

  • Develop and execute promotional plans for patient-facing and professional events.
  • Create supporting event collateral and marketing assets (digital and print).
  • Collaborate with clinics and partners to support local marketing delivery.
  • Provide guidance and marketing support across teams, ensuring consistency and best practice.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with content, social, and digital teams to ensure aligned messaging and creative consistency.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and suppliers to deliver high-quality outputs on time and within budget.
  • Act as a brand guardian, ensuring excellence across both messaging and creative execution.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in a PR, marketing, or communications role (ideally healthcare, fertility, or wellbeing).
  • Strong media relations experience with a track record of securing coverage.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong graphic design capability with advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop essential).
  • Demonstrable experience creating marketing assets such as ads, brochures, leaflets, social content, and campaign materials.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a clear understanding of brand consistency and visual standards.
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and regulatory considerations (GDPR, ASA).
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, or related field.
  • Familiarity with GA4, Meta Ads Manager, and email marketing platforms is advantageous.
  • Passion for patient care and delivering empathetic, inclusive communication.

Working Hours

37.5 Hours per week - consideration for 4 days per week for the right candidate
