Job Description: Summer Paid Internship (Temp to Perm)
PR & Marketing Intern (Paid Summer Placement)

Reporting to: Alexandra Butter, Senior PR & Marketing Consultant
Location: Primarily remote, with occasional in-person client meetings in London
Schedule: Part-time - 20 hours per week (Summer Placement: July & August, with the potential to transition to a permanent role)
Compensation: £15.00 per hour

Role Overview
The allpoints team is looking for an enthusiastic, highly organised, and detail-oriented PR & Marketing Intern for a dedicated summer placement throughout July and August. This role offers the exciting potential to transition into a permanent or contract position for the right candidate. You will play a vital support role, working directly alongside our Senior PR Consultant to help execute campaign strategies, assist with media relations, and support day-to-day account management. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in B2B PR, prove your value to the team, and potentially launch your long-term career.

Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Administrative Support
- Provide day-to-day organisational support to the Senior PR Consultant.
- Assist in keeping WIP (Work in Progress) documents updated, drafting action points following calls, and preparing weekly client updates.
- Help maintain shared PR documents, project calendars, and campaign timelines.
- Shadow client calls, brainstorms, and team meetings, taking clear notes and contributing ideas when appropriate.
- Review awards, speaking submission calendars and updating on a weekly basis of what is coming up.
PR & Media Relations
- Assist with foundational PR outreach by researching editorial calendars and building targeted media lists.
- Monitor platforms (such as ResponseSource and LinkedIn) for real-time PR requests and flag relevant opportunities to the team.
- Help identify potential speaking and award opportunities for clients.
- Support the awards submission process by tracking deadlines, organising entry criteria, and gathering required metrics.
- Assist in formatting and distributing press releases and media assets.
Content Creation & Copywriting

- Draft initial versions of press materials, including press releases, media briefs, Q&As, and client bios.
- Assist with proofreading and copyediting written PR content to ensure it is clear, accurate, and ready for senior review.
Strategy & Reporting
- Help gather data to track key PR KPIs, including reach, sentiment, and share of voice.
- Compile media clippings and assist in building comprehensive monthly media coverage reports.
What We’re Looking For
- A highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented individual with strong time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for proofreading and an interest in writing for B2B and media audiences.
- A strong interest in PR, media relations, and the events industry.
- Familiarity with, or a willingness to learn, PR tools and platforms (e.g., ResponseSource, media databases).
- Adaptable, collaborative, and eager to learn within a fast-paced agency environment.
- Comfortable taking initiative and managing your time effectively in a remote setting.
