Marketing & Supply Chain Apprentice

Location: Melton (near Hull, HU14 3HJ)

Salary: National Minimum Wage (age dependent) + 30 days holiday + pension + staff discount across Heron Foods & B&M

If you're looking to start your career in a fast-paced retail head office environment, learn new skills, and gain valuable experience across both Marketing and Supply Chain functions, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

As a Marketing & Supply Chain Apprentice, you'll support our Marketing and Buying teams, helping to ensure products are promoted effectively and available in stores for our customers. You'll gain hands-on experience across a range of administrative and coordination activities while working with experienced colleagues in a growing national retailer.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop valuable business, marketing, administration and commercial skills while earning a nationally recognised qualification.

About The Role

You'll work closely with our Marketing and Supply Chain teams, supporting a variety of activities that help drive sales, promote products, and ensure stores have the stock they need.

Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll learn how products move from supplier to store, while also supporting the marketing campaigns that bring those products to life for our customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Marketing team with campaign administration and promotional planning
  • Maintaining and updating product, promotional and supplier information
  • Supporting Buying and Supply Chain colleagues with administrative tasks and reporting
  • Liaising with suppliers, internal departments and store teams to provide updates and gather information
  • Assisting with product launches, promotions and seasonal campaigns
  • Monitoring stock, pricing and promotional information to ensure accuracy
  • Providing general administrative support across the Marketing and Supply Chain functions

What You'll Need

  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Confidence using computers and learning new systems
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • An interest in Marketing, Buying, Supply Chain or Business Administration
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Good standard of English and Maths
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel (desirable but not essential)
